Lexus LFA - IAA 2011

Absolutely amazing!!!!!!!!!!!

All-new EUDM Honda Civic - IAA 2011

So, it took a bit longer, but I finally managed to upload some photos I took. The previous-gen model was way better and I really liked it. The new one is just a big failure in my opinion, with the front having some Seat design elements and the rear being simply ugly. In terms of the interior, the quality has been improved, but it has become very complex in terms of design with a lot of lines etc.

All-new EUDM Honda Civic at IAA!

I will be able to upload more live photos very soon, but this is just one of them. The car looks a bit better in the flesh, but I think Honda has really failed with the rear end design.

Toyota officially reveals new Camry in Japan

Toyota has officially revealed the new Camry in Japan and there are no surprises since photos of it had already been leaked (earlier post). All versions to be sold in Japan will come with the hybrid powertrain, which uses a 2.5-liter Atkinson-cycle engine (2AR-FXE) with a combined max. output of 205 PS. The hybrid techlogy, along with the very low drag coefficient of 0.28, enable the new Camry to achieve a fuel economy of 26.5 km/L under the 10.15 cycle.

You can read the full press release (Japanese text) here.

Latest scoop on FT-86: G's and STi versions to get turbo power

BC has published an article with the latest scoop on the FT-86 / BRZ. According to a summary that I was provided with, Toyota is planning to fit an 1.6-liter turbocharged engine one year after the initial introduction of the model. Now, what seems rather strange to me is the fact that BC claims that the turbocharged engine will be fitted in the G's / STi versions, while the "normal" versions will be powered by the naturally aspired 2.0-liter engine.

In any case, the article also mentions that the new turbo engine will be fitted in the new Subaru Impreza WRX STi as well, producing 270ps. BC also claims that the differences between the FT-86 and the BRZ (or whatever the official name will be) will be on the front and rear ends.
